Some of the older generations driving is pretty bad and this has sparked claims that they should be banned from driving altogether. Testing them before taking the license away has to be done because they could be more than capable of driving in a normal way without putting anyone in danger.

Banning people from motorways is almost a bridge to this gap and old people do not need to be banned full stop, just from driving on the most dangerous roads. I will once again say that if this happens there should still be a test because there will be many old people that can still drive very well indeed. Is it fair to do this, what if an elderly person drives up to see their family once a week or needs to get to the airport and doesn’t way to pay extortionate taxi prices. There is no way that is even fair.

On the other hand it could cut back accidents a lot because there do seem to be more and more accidents happening that are caused by old people not knowing what they are doing. To be fair there is a point that the drivers have, it isnt safe for old people to be driving slow on a motorway, not safe at all. This doesnt seem to be fair to both parties, one because the older people are being abused for it and the other because the older people are in the way.

Another issue is that with banning old people from driving you are going to see a lot less Bad Credit Car Leasing and this isn’t a great thing because it will shut down a lot of businesses. This is going to mean safer roads surely.

Cheap Lease Cars and general Audi Leasing is most likely the best option to take for an elderly person, do you think it is best for them not to drive, I think we should give them a chance.

Some states like TX and NJ will subsidize solar energy 40% worth.
But the technology to date has been quite costly in spite of these states’ subsidizing the cost. However, solar energy is starting to turn the corner cost-effectively in the past year or two.
Why is there no serious encouragement from the federal gov’t to encourage homeowners to install solar energy panels by offerering subsidies or rebates for installing it?
Would this be a good idea?

With a deterioratingfinancial base, nonprofits are seeing their donations dive. Regularly in the course of the Thanksgiving and Christmas Season offerings tend to skyrocket. But over the last few years the declines in giving to food banks, shelters, and humanitarian organizations have become evident.

When people are struggling themselves and are short on money the first thing to do is cut needless expenses. Normally, they start by cutting out the vacations, designer clothing, eating out and when that isn’t enough then they eliminate donations and other spending in order to break even.

Because of tighter pocketbooks food banks and charities this year are struggling because there are more people needing services and less people donating. Especially, with the holidays approaching food banks may not be able to supply some of the needy, many of which are families. The situation is severe and charities are trying to find more ways to get individuals to contribute.

Charities are now asking Congress to create a tax enticement so that more people will give. They also want the government to increase national nutrition programs and spend more on programs to help people prepare for work. Charities deem that with the governments help there will be more aid which means enough food to provide for everyone.

At one Seattle food bank they have over 2,500 visitors on busy days which is up from 1,800 just last year. Josh Fogt the manager of Northwest Harvest in Seatte revealed that “In our 42-year history, we have never witnessed a demand for our services like we are seeing now.” This and other nonprofit groups are being forced to handle greater amounts of people with smaller amounts of resources.

Although many of us have a decreased incomes, or even no income we can still find a way to donate. It doesn’t have to be cash, it can even be a couple cases of Top Ramen or anything that you can give. It doesn’t have to be a large amount, but every little bit helps. However, if you can’t give even a penny, you can go and donate your time. Volunteer and lend a hand to a nonprofit organization.

It doesn’t matter how terrible you think your circumstances are, there are always people that are worse off than you. Spend time this thanksgiving remembering everything that you have and the importance your loved ones play in your life. Give of yourself and you will feel better because you forgot about yourself and helped someone else.

But if you are struggling this season there are organizations out there that can help you. And if you have enough provisions on your table and clothes on your back give thanks by donating. There is a huge need out there and more than 14.6 percent of U.S. households are missing food to lead a healthy life.

Hunger affects everyone. Donations are not only used to help the destitute, but the elderly, children, along with many of your friends and neighbors. This recession is touching everyone including the lower and middle classes. Give what you can because fellow Americans are missing the basic provisions and the government can’t do everything.

Okay so I don’t know what planet I’ve been on, but I can’t comprehend what these experts are thinking. They want a sales tax on coke in order to try and battle obesity. Congress wants to put a 1 cent tax on every ounce of soda and sweetened beverages you buy.

This really rubs me the wrong way and makes me angry. First of all, one cent per ounce is absurd. At any rate where I live that means the tax is going to be between 25% and 30% of the price of my beverage as it is now but that means there will be an even larger jump if it were implemented. This not only affects soda drinkers but also sports and energy drinks.

In my opinion, but I know many other people that feel the same way, I am really upset that experts and the government feel it’s their right to babysit me. Let people swig what they want. Why does government worry about such stupid things instead of stressing about the important things? Frankly the government is a waste of time and capital 80% of the time. Why don’t they focus on things that will actually improve the lives of their citizens?

Now I understand that they are trying to lessen obesity rates, but this is not the way to accomplish that. Soda drinks are part of the culture and lifeblood of America. Any time people want to just relax, have a barbeque, or watch sports games a can of pop usually goes along with that. If certain individuals decide to be obese, punishing everyone isn’t fair. Instead, obese individuals should work on lowering their weight and moderating their cuisine, but ultimately they have a right to live the way they want. Regrettably, the more government tries to get involved the more defiant the people are going to get.

In other words the more government tries to bring to a halt the sales of these sugary drinks; the more people will purchase them. Just like with alcohol, when the government started taking action against it before prohibition, it became a flourishing industry and I think that will also happen here.

Plus, how would the government take into account no sugar drinks and low sugar energy drinks? They can’t blame obesity on diet drinks? So would they still tax it or not? Because if they didn’t that would make some people feel a little bit better, but ultimately that would be a calamity for gas stations and fast food restaurants everywhere. Especially when you go to a restaurant and get limitless refills.

Now that I have presented my arguments and irritation with this, I better just say that if the government does try to pass this tax I think there will be a general uproar all over the nation. Congressman will be receiving more telephone calls, emails, and letters from their constituents than they have on many previous issues.

I will be one of the first to be calling and writing my representative because this is an issue that the government does not belong in. People have the right to drink what they want and mark my words if this tax is ratified, it won’t be long before they increase the taxes on alcohol, cookies, candy, ice cream, juices, chips, fast food, which comes down to essentially everything. The government will nickel and dime us all in the name of fighting obesity, when that should be an individual issue.
