Are you considering buying a pool table? Before making a final decision on which one to get there are several things that you need to take into account…

Size – The size of the table relative to the size of the area into which it will be installed is of the utmost concern. You may very well be able to afford any of the standard 7, 8 or 9 foot tables but if it is too large for the space into which it is to be installed it may not be a wise choice. Consideration must be given to the amount of playing space required around the table. Placing a table in a space that allows inadequate space for making shots with your pool cues will spoil the playing experience.

Slate vs. Non Slate – The choice of material used for the play surface beneath the billiard felt must be made. If money is no object, there is no decision to be made here, always opt for slate as it is the traditional, preferred and most durable material for the job. That being said, non-slate options have improved considerably with the addition of materials such as accuslate. While this is basically just a high density fiber board, the quality is such that it comes with a 7 year warranty.

Shipping – When doing online research for pool table prices be sure to take into consideration that shipping charges can be handled differently by different vendors. It is important that you take the full cost including shipping into account in order to accurately asses who is offering the best price. Some vendors build the shipping expense into the base price and then offer free shipping while others offer a lower price for the table but then charge shipping costs either as a flat rate or a volume/weight based fee.

Accessories – When considering what having a pool table in your home will ultimately cost, you need to consider the cost of basic accessories plus any optional extras you might want to include. The essentials, of course, include pool cues, pool balls, ball racks and cue chalk. Additionally, you will may want to add either a wall-mounted or standalone cue rack or cue claw, bridge cues and cue cases.

Now Try – Pool Tables Yorkshire

The pre solo maneuvers are the first required for your Private Pilot License not suspended driving license. There are a number of Requirements needed before you can do your first solo. Now in many cases I will move on to the post solo requirements if someone is not quite ready to solo yet. I do this because I am not going to sit in the traffic pattern with someone for 5 extra flights to get their landings down. The lightbulb will come on and my goal is to have you licensed and a safe / proficient pilot by the time of your flight test. Also I want you to be in your budget.

Many instructors and schools will not move forward until you have solo’ed I think this is a complete waste of money. For this reason some people may say that the pre solo phase is the most expensive. When I see someone who has 40 hours, hasn’t soloed and on top of that has not done the cross countries, soft field / shortfield takeoffs and landings, night or simulated instrument time, the only thing I can think of is that poor student got ripped off.

The main reason people don’t solo is they don’t have their landings down. So why wouldn’t the instructor move ahead. You have to do Soft Field / Short Field Takeoffs and Landings, 10 Night takeoffs and Landings, Dual Cross Countries ( Yes More Landings). This is usually plenty of time for the Landing ( Lightbulb) To come on.

Here I have listed the Pre Solo Requirements for you. Remember there are two parts Aeronautical Knowledge and Aeronautical Experience.

(a) General. A student pilot may not operate an aircraft in solo flight unless that student has met the requirements of this section.

(b) Aeronautical knowledge. A student pilot must demonstrate satisfactory aeronautical knowledge on a knowledge test that meets the requirements of this paragraph:

(1) The test must address the student pilot’s knowledge of—

(i) Applicable sections of parts 61 and 91 of this chapter; (FAR”S )

(ii) Airspace rules and procedures for the airport where the solo flight will be performed; and

(iii) Flight characteristics and operational limitations for the make and model of aircraft to be flown.

(2) The student’s authorized instructor must—

(i) Administer the test; and

(ii) At the conclusion of the test, review all incorrect answers with the student before authorizing that student to conduct a solo flight.

(c) Pre-solo flight training. Prior to conducting a solo flight, a student pilot must have:

(1) Received and logged flight training for the maneuvers and procedures of this section that are appropriate to the make and model of aircraft to be flown; and

(2) Demonstrated satisfactory proficiency and safety, as judged by an authorized instructor, on the maneuvers and procedures required by this section in the make and model of aircraft or similar make and model of aircraft to be flown.

(d) Maneuvers and procedures for pre-solo flight training in a single-engine airplane. A student pilot who is receiving training for a single-engine airplane rating or privileges must receive and log flight training for the following maneuvers and procedures:

(1) Proper flight preparation procedures, including preflight planning and preparation, powerplant operation, and aircraft systems;

(2) Taxiing or surface operations, including runups;

(3) Takeoffs and landings, including normal and crosswind;

(4) Straight and level flight, and turns in both directions;

(5) Climbs and climbing turns;

(6) Airport traffic patterns, including entry and departure procedures;

(7) Collision avoidance, windshear avoidance, and wake turbulence avoidance;

(8) Descents, with and without turns, using high and low drag configurations;

(9) Flight at various airspeeds from cruise to slow flight;

(10) Stall entries from various flight attitudes and power combinations with recovery initiated at the first indication of a stall, and recovery from a full stall;

(11) Emergency procedures and equipment malfunctions;

(12) Ground reference maneuvers;

(13) Approaches to a landing area with simulated engine malfunctions;

(14) Slips to a landing; and

(15) Go-arounds.

All of the above areas need to be covered and Documented in Your Logbook.Type Of License Suspensions by MVA. And it needs to be signed off by a Certified Flight Instructor. Yes I have seen people that have gone up with their friends, and their friends have signed their logbooks. These areas can only be given by a Certified Flight Instructor ( CFI)

Hey folks, I just wanted to pass along my recent experience with this awesome bicycle engine kit I came across!

Quick little piece of back-story about the bicycle engine kit.

So I didn’t have my drivers license due to a few tickets I failed to take care of… That was causing quite a few problems for coming up with work, and I’m sure a few of you out there have been in my situation one way or another. I started to look for a bicycle engine kit, seeing as they are legal in my state of Virgina, and you don’t need a license, insurance OR registration to use one of these.

On to the bicycle engine kit review.

So I promptly received my bicycle engine kit within 3 business days, (we all know how shipping times can make us a bit impatient) so, I was rather happy to find that it had showed up sooner than I had expected. I had ordered the “GRUBEE SKYHAWK GT5 MODEL” which totals out at a true 66cc’s,(which is also known in the states as an 80cc bicycle engine) in a TWO STROKE fashion.

The price was approximately $250.00 USD shipping not included.

The kit comes with everything you need… Engine, carburetor, gas tank, clutch lever and cable, sprocket and chain, ect… and all the mounting equipment you’ll need to mildly fabricate it to your bicycle. Now, just to make sure you don’t end up frustrating yourself, you need to understand that with all the new bikes and frame styles on the market today, you have to be careful with which model you try to adapt your new bicycle engine kit to… i.e. They will not work with any of the new full suspension bikes, also you want to try and make sure you have the original size frame tubes, with no less than a 23inch frame… though 26 is ideal.

Now, I’m going to be perfectly honest with all of you… It wasn’t the easiest thing I have ever done, but it was NOT terribly hard either. You just have to make sure you follow the instructions for installation, and that where there isn’t enough information, be just a tiny bit innovative on where you want to install some of the parts. FYI… For reasons of comfort, these kits fit really well on “Beach Cruisers” AND “Mountain Bikes” with front suspension, and I’ll explain that too. For the person who enjoys “Do It Yourself” projects, you will completely love it.

Now, once I finished the project, i was totally delighted to find that the bicycle still operates as a normal bike, gears, shifting, pedaling and brakes, only that It added about maybe 10 to 15lbs to the bike, which is hardly noticeable! Now, that all being said, I was even more delighted to find that once I engaged the engine, it fired right up and zipped me right down the street, FIRST TRY!

Now, I’m sure many of you are wondering several things like; GAS MILEAGE??? So really, how far am I going to get with this simple bicycle engine kit? Your gas tank will hold around 1.5 to 2 liters of gas oil mixture… and off of that alone your going to get almost 150 MILES! I’m not joking either! I really can’t say enough about this little moped I’ve built!

How fast??? Well… my weight is around 220 lbs… so I’m not a small person by any means, but this bicycle engine kit is made with a heart of gold, it pulls my heavy butt up to a full 35MPH+! Now, that’s fast for a bicycle! This little engine has about 1.75 horse power, and can pull me up some pretty steep hills without a problem. And as I had mentioned before, all of the bikes functions still work! Simply pull in the locking clutch lever, and it’s back to regular bike riding!

There’s several bicycle engine kits you can purchase from the official company website, and if you want, you can even purchase complete, “Ready To Go” bikes with the engine already installed and ready to go, right out of the box, just add fuel and go!

Visit www.GasBike.net to get your bicycle engine kit now.

Utah’s diverse landscape makes it a admired spot for day hikers and energetic backpackers. With its cornucopia of very remote areas and stunningly beautiful scenes, a Utah hiking trip can be anywhere from a mere “enjoyable walk” to a nature-welcoming outdoors adventure. Through a Utah backpacking trip, you’ll find that once you get off the beaten path on foot or even on horseback, the state’s mountains and deserts will “open up” for you in lots of unexpected ways.

The state boasts of five well-known Utah hiking regions, namely Wasatch Front, Northern Mountains, Dinosaurland, Great Basin, and Red Rock. In addition, the section of the Great Western Trail that provides Utah backpacking also offers great opportunities for snowmobiling, ATVing, in addition to other fun activities.

Wasatch Front

This is where Utah’s inner-city corridor lies. To the east is the stunning Wasatch Mountain range and to the west is the desert ground of the Great Basin. Utah climbing and backpacking experiences of every variety are found just moments away from several of the cities in this area. Some of the great Utah backpacking trails within a small distance from the Wasatch Front area include:

· Alexander Basin Trail

· Desolation Trail

· Great Western Trail

· Lake Blanche Trail

· Lake Mary Trail

· Mill B. North Fork Trail

· Mineral Fork Trail

· Mount Olympus Trail

· Timpanogos Cave Trail

· White Pine Trail

Utah backpacking along Mount Olympus Trail will have you starting right at the base of Mount Olympus down Wasatch Boulevard. The Utah hiking that this trail offers is a strenuous one, but exhilarating, offering you great views of the Salt Lake Valley.

Another excellent Utah climbing opportunity offered in this area is the Ogden River Parkway, which is a striking 3.3 mile area for walking, biking, picnicking, and fishing. The parkway is conveniently located adjacent to the Ogden River, right in the city of Ogden.

Northern Mountains

Next to the Wasatch Front, another great Utah backpacking region is the Northern Mountains. It offers a lot of Utah hiking trails, including Deep Canyon – Coldwater Canyon Trail, Naomi Peak Trail, and part of the Great Western Trail.

In addition to that, Utah hiking opportunities are also offered outside Logan in northern Utah. One example is a pleasant Utah hiking, that is more like walking, in the one-mile Limber Pine Trail loop at the peak of Logan Canyon overlooking Bear Lake. Another is an autumn ¾-mile Utah backpacking to Coldwater Lake near Mendon. This Utah hiking track often lures hikers further up the track through the ruby maples and golden aspen in to the dense forests of the Wellsville Wilderness.

The Skyline Trailhead right atop the North Ogden Pass, 5 miles east of North Ogden, offers a number of Utah backpacking. You can obtain a Utah hiking trail up a 9-mile trek to the 9,712-foot summit of Ben Lomon Peak. There is also the Pineview Trailhead leads to a 22-mile Utah backpacking track ending in Willard Basin. A number of more Utah backpacking trails are scattered through the Wasatch-Cache National Forest inside Davis Country.

Wyoming Camping

The Wyoming wilderness is a great place to spend time hiking. These Wyoming sites supply information regarding Sheridan WY, Buffalo WY, as well as Jackson Wyoming.
